The Prelature of Libmanan is located at the northern part of the province of Camarines Sur in the southern tip of Luzon. The Prelature is bounded on the North by Camarines Norte (Diocese of Daet), on the East by San Miguel Bay, on the West by Ragay Gulf and Quezon Province (Diocese of Gumaca) and on the South by the City of Naga (Archdiocese of Caceres). The Prelature covers a land area of about 1,862.28 square kilometers with eleven municipal towns. There were sixteen parishes when it was founded and as of November 2006, there are already twenty-seven parishes with 347 villages (barangays). It has a total population of 396,850, and a total number of household of about 72,325.  you may click the picture to see more... The terrain of the Prelature is mostly rolling hills and mountains. The dry season comes during the months of March to June and the rainy season from July to November. This area is also a typhoon prone area. It is even locally called agihan nin bagyo “typhoon highway.” Typhoons usually hit the area from October to December. The recent one is the super typhoon Reming which badly hit many parishes both in the central and south districts.
