CBCP endorses Libmanan elevation as a Diocese |

 Manila, January 24, 2009: Voting 71-0, the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines,gathered at Pius XII Catholic Center, unanimously endorsed to the Holy See the petition of the Prelature of Libmanan, to have it elevated into the status of a diocese. When asked to justify the petition, Bishop J. Rojas, Bishop-Prelate of Libmanan, informed the bishops that the idea to have Libmanan created into a diocese originally came from the former Nuncio to the Philippines, the Most Rev. Antonio Franco, D.D., now the Apostolic Delegate of the Holy See to Israel. |

Sponsor's ID system Implemented! |

This January 2009 all the parishes fully implement the ID system for the parishioners who will stand as sponsors for the reception of Sacraments. This is in application of the SKK culture in the prelature and in response to the circular issued November 25, 2008 regarding the worthy and active participation of the sponsors. This in turn encourages the parishioners to secure and apply for the card which would serve as "parishioner's ID" they can use in other parishes and spare the sponsor to undergo another but the same content Sacramental Catechesis. |

The Prelature of Libmanan is preparing for her 20th Anniversary comes March 19, 2010, In this Connection, we in the Communication Commission are welcoming sponsors up until year 2010 and beyond. We are maintaining two web domains, the www.prelatureoflibmanan.net and the www.libmanan.com. .. In the year 2006 month of October, the first website for the prelature was started. This providentially catered relief and rehabilitation assistance for the victims of supertyphoon Reming (International name "Durian") which hit and struck the life, livelihood and hopes of our parishioners after that storm of November 30-December 1, 2006... |
