The Diocese of Libmanan is set to hold its First Pastoral Assembly on June 5, 2010. A Pastoral Letter will be read on the 31st day of January this year 2010. Series of praparations such as Parish Consultations and other necessary participative processes will be held during the first quarter of the year 2010. Consultations down to the Barangay level of the community will be conducted. The target percentage of respondents is at least to reach the 30% of the community members in order to represent the actual situations. This upcoming pastoral assembly is geared towards formulation of the new vision-mission statement as simple as possible.

For the first time, the proponents and those who oppose the Libmanan-Cabusao Dam Project came face-to-face with each other in a forum sponsored by the Diocese of Libmanan on December 8, 2009, at the Fernando Hall of Ateneo de Naga University. LupiKontraDam, however, remains strong in its conviction that none of the questions and concerns they raised were given due attention and answers. The movement is thankful to the Diocese of Libmanan for sponsoring the forum. |
